Misunderstandings typically lead to drama and frustration, but in these stories they actually improve the protagonist's circumstances. I don't know if this trope already has a name or not but this is what I call it.
Criteria to meet the list:
- Misunderstandings almost always only ever improve the protagonist's circumstances.
- The Protagonist isn't deliberately trying to create these misunderstandings, they just happen.
- The misunderstandings can't be a one-off gag, they must be the driving force of at least half the plot.
